More Social than Work

Thanks for visitng my blog! I decided to start this when I moved from Austin to Atlanta in the summer of 2006. I figured the new adventure would offer some fun stories to share with friends and family around the globe. I'm a Social Worker, by the way -- hence the title of the blog.

Fire Drills = Fun Times

We had a practice fire drill at my office yesterday. Normally I wouldn't be all that excited about a fire drill, especially in August...but guess what? They gave us FREE ICE CREAM! So while the P.I.C. (People In Charge) counted heads, checked rooms, and verified that the building was not actually on fire, I sat in the shade eating Moose Tracks. And got paid for it.

That is a neat thing to do and by the way, after reading that bumper sticker 63 days in a row, I am glad that you posted something new! :) I love reading your blog so try to appease me and post a little more often.

Sounds like a great day at work to me! Although, Rocky Road would have made it a little better.
